HUA HIN - Against the backdrop of disheartening economic turmoil across the globe, comes some very refreshing financial news from our own backyard.

An unprecedented agreement designed to restore consumer confidence amid these turbulent times was announced in Hua Hin on Thursday between Para Development Company and Bangkok Bank Public Company Ltd.

At a well-attended celebration held at the Hilton Hua Hin, Bangkok Bank Vice President Khun Suchart Chiraywat handed over a banker's draft of 90-million-baht to Para Development CEO Khun Udorn Olsson. The agreement, the first of its kind in the Hua Hin property market, will secure the funding necessary for the construction of infrastructure, a clubhouse and perimeter walls for Para's groundbreaking Panorama Pool Villas resort project.

"Bangkok Bank has known and had a very successful business relationship with Udorn and his family for more than 20 years. And their business, such as hotels and various other retail outlets have flourished over those years. I would personally say that we have experienced 'win-win' situations over the years," said Khun Suchart in his speech to guests and members of the press. "Time and time again Udorn has shown himself to be not only entrepreneurial and successful but has always conducted himself honourably with the Bank and customers alike. This high moral standing has earned him many like-minded friends and the respect of Bangkok Bank," he added.
